Gray Day

Watercolor. 7.5″ x 10″

Sequim Bay, Washington

This is one of my earliest watercolor landscapes. It reminds me of how much my use of color and technique has evolved over the last ten years. I see a lot of dry brush texture and lifting in this piece which I really like. I thinkĀ it definitely captures the mood of an overcast day in the northwest. I imagine it is Saturday and the fish are slow to bite but no matter. It is a nice view.
